Who we are!
Once upon a time there was a beautiful, serene and peaceful memorial dedicated to Veterans in and around Marshville and Union County. This was a place for all ages to honor and respectfully remember those military individuals who selflessly gave of themselves that our Country would be a safe place for their families and fellow citizens. Then one day the Veterans Memorial was being removed. When this happened a member of the community took to Facebook and this began a journey of comradery, devotion and patriotism.
The community rallied together and set out to rebuild and restore the Veterans Monument. Taking great pride in the revered service and sacrifice of the military Veteran. Leaders were chosen, voices were unified and the journey of honor and patriotism began.
Today, the results of this tremendous effort by so many, may be seen and progress noticed. The Marshville Veterans Park is already a hallowed ground with a sense of reverence, honor and remembrance.
Please take time to visit the lasting tribute to our community heroes of military service, and if you too are moved to show your support, there are numerous ways you can do so.
May God continue to bless the United States of America and all those who serve in our Armed Forces!
